Raul Guerrero
Exhibition: Objects, Installations, Photographs, Kinetic Work, 1974

Title:
Three Decks of Cards, 1973, Glued into triangles to form a 15' column in length. View from end through the column creates a kaleidoscope effect.

In Guerrero's first solo exhibition the most prominent piece was the upside down pyramidal frame, suspended from the ceiling and covered with coral-tinted nylon sheets. Such works mark the beginning of Guerrero's attempt to confront the orgins of art-making. The source of the pyramid, for example can be found in the Golden Triangle.
