Artist Kathleen Bergen is a native of Washington, D.C. who received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute, College of Art in Baltimore, MD.

This new series of works digitally combines photography, textures and scanned objects to create surreal and dreamlike images that are rich in color and texture.

She has shown work with the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. as well as the Basile Gallery in San Diego. She was also a recent finalist in the 2001 RSVP Directory of Illustration competition, where her work was on view at the Society of Illustrators Gallery in New York.
