ARTISTS

My digital and painted works share a strong sense of unity in character as I express my ideas on the relationship of human beings to the spaces that surround them through my images. I enjoy transforming the digital image from the computer into large paintings on canvas, allowing viewers to conceptually dive into what they are seeing.

The artwork of Shelley Hall reaches beneath the surface to reflect nature in abstract form, reminiscent of water reflections and the spiritual elements of nature.

A review of the history of my work shows hundreds of paintings reaching distant extremes in style ranging from photo-realism to geometric abstraction.

Heli's paintings are expressive and stylized. The composition is exciting and striking. Her subjects are influenced by her visual experiences gained from worldwide travel.

Primarily Harrison's work has focused on decorative themes including architectural subjects, chinoiseries, and scenic's, often with bird, animal or floral motifs. He has worked extensively with alkyd paints, oil paints, and to a lesser extent, acrylics.
Andy Howell's roots are simple: skateboarding, surfing, drawing, painting, punk rock, hip hop. He grew up immersed in the 80's Virginia and DC punk scenes, making zines, traveling up and down the east coast for skate contests and building ramps with his friends in every place they could find.
Skateboarding and art became an addiction, and soon everything else fell victim.

I have always loved art. I like to think of my artwork as revolutionary, rebellious, and powerful. I'm a legend in my own mind. I currently eat, drink, and sleep painting with so many ideas in my head that I feel it's about to explode." Kelly Hutchison

Jane LaFazio's artistic style is graphic, fresh, in-the-moment, always with an unexpected element of surprise. Her love of detail, mixed with sly humor, produces realistic subjects from a slightly different point of view. She often mixes her own California style with an Asian-influenced composition.

Jade's pieces are done much like a comic book would be. The composition of the piece is sketched out in thumbnail form, followed up with a tight pencil sketch. The sketch is scanned into the computer where the refining and coloration is done. The final piece is output in a variety of different ways: on canvas then stretched over a frame, on a watercolor type paper, or just plain glossy prints.

She studies fashion and beauty traditions of the past and also finds inspiration for paintings in childhood memories, writing short stories and using past and present journal writings to create a story of truth and fiction.

Using mainly acrylics and collage, his illustrations find their way onto a versatile array of surfaces: tattered book covers, wood, canvas, and found objects. His evocative blend of text and illustration stem from a dual interest in both literature and design, aiding in both content and context to the layered backgrounds and landscapes.

Anita’s style leans toward the abstract and some impressionist, combining the two to create sense of feeling rather than paint a picture. Art to her is the expression of her inner balance, a process of positive energy pouring forth, a state of childlike happiness achieved.

"For a while now I have been collecting and working with home related elements and objects. I’ve always found comfort and humor in them and in the general idea of the house. Philosophers, psychoanalysts and poets have perceived the house, or the home, as a magical place full of contradictory wonders that can function as a structure forming device,” said Martinez.

The poetic vision in the work of Alejandro Martínez-Peña lays on two pillars. The first is a dynamic narrative, the second, a squeezing of subjective moods. Hence, in the narrative of his works, events generate a tension that is resolved when one finds the sense of the reality that is displayed.

Tim's work is always in a state of evolution and experimentation. In spirit he's combined a type of figurative expressionism and surrealism in which every piece is improvised from a very loose plan or no plan at all.The true meanings remain totally personal, a kind of riddle.
