Artist BiographyLynden Saint Victor is a rarity among acclaimed artists- he never studied art. In keeping with a New Year's resolution to expand his horizons, Saint Victor dipped into his first oil paints on January 1, 2002 and began to make pictures that speak volumes. In 2003, the first formal presentation of his work resulted in a sold out show, including thirty-five additional Paint to Order Originals, media coverage, multiple gallery offers and a publishing contract.

| The Symbolism in his Work: Leaving Las Venus: This work is about women finally breaking through the glass ceiling of business. The Pontiac represents the male drive, however, it's now being steered by a woman from the right side signifying the intuitive side of the brain. |

She drives focused through the male dominated executive branch shown in the phallic like trees. Behind her is the old vision of women (breasts in trees), however, she doesn't sacrifice her feminine sexuality represented by her blouse. The bow shows her softer side tempered by the scorpion tail on her forehead. |

The Roch:Roch was a French noble who early developed a sympathy for the poor and sick. While on pilgrimage Roch encountered an area afflicted with plague. He stayed to minister to the sick, and affected several miraculous cures, but contracted the plague himself. He walked into the forest to die but was befriended by a dog. The dog fed him with food stolen from his master's table, and Roch eventually recovered. Saint Roch's compassion and loyalty for others regardless of the consequences is exemplified in the very nature of mankind's truest friend - the dog. |

| Deeply involved in my wife's animal rescue foundation, we often have a house full of as many as ten to twelve dogs on any given night. Most all of the furry creatures were rescued by Lisa on their last day of life. some were being put down because they were "un adoptable" for having an injury or illness such as a broken leg. Lisa created a comfortable enclosed area of the house where these dogs can heal and regain their strength and vitality. I painted Coppertop to watch over them and placed her above their pen. | |

The dark and light spheres represent the polarity of life, good and bad working together to create the natural order and are merged by the three symbols above. The cross represents the physical plane merging with the spiritual, the bird symbol for harmony and the blank is for potential - what we make of it. |
